Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner 2015 + Giveaway

Every December, one of the things that people look forward to is their would-be planner for the succeeding year, and that includes me! There are a number of planners available in the market varying on the design and features. Some are given as a complimentary from affiliate banks or insurance companies, some are given as a freebie as part of a brand's marketing promo, while some planners are explicitly available for sale at select bookstores. Sometimes it becomes difficult to decide which planner to use when you got more than one. It's hard to choose whether you want status symbol, being 'in' or just practicality.

Based on my experience, it's hard to maintain two planners because they can mix up your schedule and tendency is that the other planner would just get left out. It is advisable to use only one planner for a particular year so that everything will just be in one place. Planner is made to simplify our life and not to complicate it.

Anyway, I just want to share with you a relatively new planner made by Certified Positive. Presenting to you their 2nd edition, the 2015 Daily Interact Certified Positive Planner.

Moymoy Lulumboy: Ang Batang Aswang Book Launch

Last Sept. 18, 2014 during the 2nd day of the 35th Manila International Book Fair, I was fortunate to be able to witness the book launching of Moymoy Lulumboy which was held inside Meeting Room 5, 2/F SMX Convention Center.

It was I think my first time to attend a book launch. The event started out with a simple lunch buffet, followed by the introduction by Mr. Toots Tolentino, then a musical performance, a little question & answer portion for the authors and finally the book signing and picture taking.

Introduction by Mr. Joselito "Toots" Tolentino, publicist
Moymoy Lulumboy: Ang Batang Aswang, as the title implies, is a fictional series that revolves around a little boy named Moymoy, son of a goddess and vampire-like ghoul but raised by humans and has an evil twin. Both the twins hold the map to the sacred treasure place owned by the gods where the villain stole gold bars from in lieu of his own personal greediness which caused the great curse to the whole Land of Gabun.

It is an original Filipino mythology-adventure series for young adult, published by Lampara Books, written by Segundo Matias Jr. and illustrated by Jomike Tejido.

A Glimpse of Baby & Family Expo 2014

I always look forward to attending events about baby and mommy for the reason that I want to know the latest trend and product that I myself can relate to. Last year, I wasn't able to attend the first Baby Expo because it happens to coincide with my baby's 1st birthday. This time, they are having a second run, 2nd Baby & Family Expo 2014 happening from Dec. 5 to 7, 2014 at SMX Hall 1.

I decided to visit them on the first day so I can share with you my experience. Upon walking towards SMX, I already saw lots of tarps announcing different events at SMX. Aside from the Baby & Family Expo, there's also a Property Expo Philippines, Shoes & Bags Sale and Toy Kingdom's Toy Sale, all happening in one place at the same time. I thought that this would be a great family bonding place since there's something to check out on by everyone.

After walking pass through the other 3 event halls, I've finally reached the expo that I'm supposed to visit, the Baby & Family Expo which is located at the far end of the hall, near the church side. There's not much people yet at around 10:30 am but the queue was quite slow. There was no separate lane for online registrants that time.

What kept me busy while waiting in line was these life-size figures displayed at the entrance. I think this is the start of their so-called "Toy Museum".

I wasn't able to take much photos except for some of the booths that were new or interesting to me.
